January is normally the busiest month of the year for me work-wise. Lots of hours spent in the office and not very much time for any thing else.
I was lucky enough to spot a post on Instagram about these perfect little sketch books from Pentalic and immediately ordered a set from Amazon. The mini size of these sketchbooks makes them perfect for making a quick journal page in a few minutes when time is very limited.
All the different colours look irresistible in their packets to a stationary addict like me! I have so many unused beautiful blank journals though, I was determined to get started with at least one of these.
I chose the blue one. I expect I will have to decorate the (now grubby) covers at some point . . .
For some reason I don't feel the need to officially "finish" each tiny page before moving onto the next, the way I do in my larger art journals.
Consequently I have very quickly filled a number of pages. I also seem to have a very simplified style of art journaling. You will find some layers on my pages, but not often layer after layer.
I do generally have an idea or feeling I am trying to convey. Sometimes I am simply spilling my thoughts onto the paper.
Whichever way I am quickly happy with the result, either in terms of how the page looks, or what I have learned or tested. There could also pop up an idea for a bigger page, or canvas even? Whichever way, expect to see some more of my super mini journal pages here when time is very limited.
Let me know if you would like any more detail on stamps or paints used etc.
Next time dear friends x
